On March 25, 2015, Steve Collier spoke at a Physician Assistant Presentation at The University of Toledo Medical Center. The topic of Steve’s presentation was Law and Medicine, and focused on interplay between legal and medical issues so students could gain a better understanding of real world situations they may encounter. Steve has been lecturing at The University of Toledo Medical Center for over 20 years.

Steve Collier Moderator and Speaker at Seminar

Steve Collier moderated and presented at the “Masters in Trial: A Trial Demonstration” seminar last month in Columbus, Ohio. Steve’s portion of the seminar was presenting the plaintiff’s closing arguments. The seminar was sponsored by the Ohio Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, which works to preserve the civil jury trial. Steve currently serves as its President.

Steve Collier serves as the Chair of the Toledo Bar Association 2014 Kiroff Bench Bar Committee and will be a moderator of the TBA Kiroff Bench Bar Conference to be held on October 10, 2014 in Toledo. Attorneys Smith and Collier Spoke at OSBA Convention

Steve Smith and Steve Collier presented at the “Basic Insurance and Negligence Law Topics” seminar at the 2014 Ohio State Bar Association Annual Convention, which was recently held in Columbus. Attorney Smith’s CLE session was entitled, “Insurance Law Nuts and Bolts,” and discussed the proper way to analyze an insurance policy.  Attorney Collier’s portion of the CLE, entitled “Avoiding PI Litigation Pitfalls and Things That Can Trip You Up,” focused on how to avoid procedural problems that can prevent full recovery in a personal injury case.
